I've found Dick Tracy, Public Enemies and The Big Sleep. Do you know any film like that and would you care to share? I need to watch as many as I can! \o/

The Maltese Falcon - a classic!
Bogie, Sydney Greenstreet, Peter Lorre
Also, I like The Thin Man series - Bill Powell & Myrna Loy
The Thin Man movies are more comedy-drama, but you might like them.

if you use VLC, under shoutcast tv theirs a channel called "detective tv" toady they are showing the original dragnet tv show.from the 50's
to use: open vlc-click on media go to services discovery and tick shoutcast tv-then open playlist and click on the shoutcast tv folder
(side note they leave in some of the old tv commercials)

not really a detective movie but set in the 30's 12 angry men is an awesome film to see if it's the criminal/justice system you're after
