I remember you a little.

as for hows life? hmm, well i'm looking forward to summer, the softball season :) so i can enjoy the sport and work off my tummy lol.

My pet project atm is getting two laptops i have shelved, working.
SO i been hunting ebay for some spare parts, and I plan to eventually sand the cases/chassis down and repaint them.

The first is an old Dell inspiron 6000 (my first laptop!) It has a shot keyboard/fan and the hard drive i think I gave to a friend ages ago. Oh..and the reason for shelving it..the LCD died and at the time (and still somewhat) LCD replacements are expensive, around 150 US to get a complete working lcd plus frame. With that I could almost buy a netbook. I briefly used it sans LCD as a desktop with my lcd tv or external lcd before I got a new laptop.
The case is scuffed but with a nice sandjob i'm aching to test my paint sprayer out (can't paint in cold weather though or it messes with the paint)

The other is a gateway Ma7 lappy that is in much better shape, however it too suffers the all too sad lcd inverter/cathode death. I am honestly not sure what to do with this one though. I guess I'l go for the total refurbish and paintjob and ebay it. (when i have money for the lcd that is, though ill try replaceing the inverter or cathode first)

My third is my dinosuar, but it has great sentimental value (being my first computer it is an old celeron 700 that my dad bought me and styarted my love of computers and the net) I packed it down from the attic the other day, and It still booted up, windows ME! slow as hell and a little noisy from the fans, but it took me to the same desktop i last used when I was a girl in 8th grade :) I even played starcraft which i had installed yet :)

The case looks good though i can't remember the manufacturer, no dents, paints chipped and scuffed though, the lcd panel's backlight led for the temp moniter and fan temp has burnt out, so i need to replace that, other wise the hardware is fine and posts, albeit dusty, but other than some scratches on the front bezel that can be sanded out, I think it'll go great.

SO i want to completely sand the case, fix the lcd, buy a new power supply and led diode, fans (or try cleaning and oiling the bearing mechanism, they arent sleeve bearing so they still work yay)

some new cables for the drives (ata 100 ribbons)

Once everythings done and its painted and cleaned, well I doubt I'll use it honestly. Back to the attic in a box I don't know. I just know I keep it because it was my first ever computer :)

SO thats how my life is right now..pretty good and I got some ideas planned..you asked :)
