its been 2 years of my life on this game and it done nothing but get me into truble i already been banned once before cos of my additude now its about time i take a long break so let me just say at the end of May im gona leave regnum its been a long costly game and i have been all day searching of means of a good powerful weapons in regnum one is just a old legend that speaks of a sword level 50 epic around regnum that does element damage also does slashing its a "epic great claymore of fine steel" (master) and i have spend long hard days looking for it, it also does a totel of this element damage 15 fire damage 15 electric damage and 15 ice damage, i tried long hard months looking for this masterly made weapon that NGD made into the game it is soo rare no one on horus has it at least non on ignis has it.

It is possible, but the existance of such a quality drop is unlikely. Still since its mentioned as a possible leaving reason (or so it seems) I will point out its the player, not the weapon, that makes the real differance. Some cases excluded but most of the players with very good gear that stand out (Enio, Bulgaro, Minamoto etc...) stand out because they have good gear and are great players.

Dude, just because you CANT find a certain item is no reason to quit a game.
Hell i spent 2 and 1 half years looking for an item on and off, when i
eventually got one, they became available to buy in a merchant (it
was at the time the rarest find in Alsius).

cant get what you want.

Combined with that, uber weapons <> uber players. Game style however does,
or do you want this weapon to kill a certain lvl 30 conjurer with an overpowered
summons? ^^

For sure it is good to take a break from time to time, but is very childish
to repeatedly post in the forum an 'im leaving' thread.

I've seen a barb weapon with +30 elemental damage. But what your claiming is just impossible.

You don't need better items to win, you need better teams and partners who would help you win fights and teach you skills and styles in using barbarians.

Look guy, I don't want a bad post on my record since that is completely unlike me, but I honestly have to say that you've always been one of the luckiest bastards in this entire game. Everything has been handed to you on a silver platter, far more than what you deserved, and people have tried time and time again to help you to the best of their ability, even me.

Even NGD has tried to help you on several occasions when they didn't need to.

But you don't improve, you continue to make posts like this talking about things that don't even exist and no one cares about, and threatening to leave the game if someone doesn't hand it over or something.

If that is the case, then maybe you really should leave, and stay gone instead of keep coming back after your "amends".

While you are making posts like this every month with threats of leaving the game, the rest of us are grinding hard, spending real life money and generally working our butts off to even have a 1% chance to get our hands on the same kind of equipment and benefits you've been given mostly for free, and even deleted with your characters on one occasion.

Please try and remember that before you click that Delete button again.

as for the sword, it technically COULD exist but the chances of finding it are slim to none. i have a 50 barb, 38 marks, 23 hunter, 23 conju, 22 knight and i have NEVER dropped an epic. let alone one that good. (most are useless stuff like +2% blunt resist)

Sadly I have to agree with Mikan on this one. I have played long and hard like many players here. I have only dropped 2 items from Tenax and had to grind like mad to get any other worthy items. In the meantime I spent much of my time watching and learning gradually. I also listened to people like Wes and others on how to improve my setups and general game play.

I did do mostly with an open mind. At this stage I consider myself a decent player at knight. Sadly DB has not done what I did to improve. Thing is he never felt he had to.

DB has been exceptionally lucky (not really) in this game. So many times players have bent over backwards to help him despite his penchant for poor attitude and turning on fellow players. Clans have welcomed him and actually allowed him to behave well outside the parameters of their rules. Players have taken him under their wing in an attempt to help him train. Even NGD has gone quite far in helping him. All of these things have become enablers.

DB has played on the empathy of others to gain items and benefits that many others have never even seen. Even to the point of rashly deleting a character with those rare items on it. Lucky. Too lucky.

You see when someone has no reverses for their actions then their attitude will never improve.

If you see what I see , you will realise he made his luck.

For such a long time I have said DB is much much smarter than some think. I do hope that a lot realise that while he may have challenges, he has used them quite well to manipulate the emotions of others to his exclusive benefit.

DB... items don't mean anything i have a magna sword which i wasnt using for the last 2 weeks of playing i was using a storebought great claymore a storebought royal spear and a storebought royal hammer - it's your setup.

ive seen you with 19 tactics since you were 50 drop it. you lose sooo much bloody damage by using that.

either go 19 slash 19 2hand 19 warcrys or go 19 slash 15 2hand 15 tactics 19 warcrys very basic setups

matt my barb cant win any battle i had not solo any class that is my level for a long time killing efrendi was very powerful luck but im really sure the devs may have interfear maybe a little i cant be sure but playing my barb has proven very hard almost impossible every time i go out into battle i always need back up cos i die way too easy playing a barb is very hard.

I think thats a lame excuse, whats +45 damage in a barbarian? Nothing, maybe you are spending too much time playing one on one's instead of Realm vs Realm battles (the purpose of this game). I have only common items and have a lot of fun on big battles (I play a barbarian too).

You dont need a +45 Elemental damage Sword to kill people...
One on Ones are mainly luck and gear, this is true, but most people dont have uber gear...
In war you could take a fully storebrought set of gear and still make a impact...

For many many months, infact over a year, the only dragon/super boss item I had was Vesper Pauldrons, and recently I managed to get hold of an Evendim hammer (well 9/10 barbs in Syrtis have them so its about time ... wait do we have 10 barbs?) And I think I did pretty decently in that year without the aid of any super items.

As do many other players, if your excuse for wanting to quit is that you have crap gear (after having a Tenax plate, Dean Ra ring, and god knows what else) then your excuse is rubbish. Not everyone has super gear and the vast group that dont seem to be doing fine, without making rage-quit threads every time some thing seems 'unfair' (ie someone else has good fortune and you dont)

Either quit and dont bother coming back or drop your moaning here and now, dont 'quit forever' then come sulking back in a week or so, you have cried 'Quit' far to often for it to have any impact anymore.

Its amazing that you have lasted 2 years when you cant seem to go 2 months without quiting ...

Ok you pulled out an old bugbear of mine, you do not NEED this weapon,
if you can show me unadulterated proof that your penis will shrivel up and
drop off without the said weapon then ill keep quiet, until then be honest
with yourself first and foremost you WANT the said weapon, theres a bit of a
difference here.

It seems to me that when you dont get what you want, you come here to
complain or threaten to leave the game, if you want to leave do it the right
way without looking for an excuse. The right way to do it is just to stop
playing and not bother coming onto the forum.

As other people have stated, you seem to want to play 1v1 rather than RvR
which is in fact what regnum is supposed to be about.

You have problems playing your barb and hunter? pick another class for a
while, I have a 6 character account 3 of those characters are lvl 50
including my barb and hunter. I use those solely for RvR purposes and seem
to do ok. My main char i use for RvR, hunting, PvP and seem to do ok there
as well. To cap everything i have said, i dont even have 1 magical item
let alone a drop from the superbosses but still i seem to do ok.

At the end of the day you could have every god type item in the game but
if your playing style is under par, then they will not make any difference
whatsoever. My advice to you, either quit gracefully or listen to people
who have given you good advice in style of play, you might be surprised
in what you learn.

I honestly think everyone should have just seen the thread title saw the person who posted it and went to a thread that actually has a purpose. All DB does is whine and complain about people hacking, not giving him what he wants, having too many boss items etc. He tries to use his mental illness as a scapegoat and for some reason it works. Its sad that people are so gullible even when they see that every time he gets in an argument he mentions his disease.

Also Im sure he will be back if he does decide to...retire (kinda like Jay-z or Michael Jordan :p)

I don't think a player with great gear is necessarily any better than a player with normal gear. Everyone in the wz can be killed, and I don't care if they have a + 1,100 constitution ammulet; anyone can be sent back to their rez point.

Maybe NGD should have a day where every single player in every server had normal shop bought stats on all there items of armor and weapons. Wonder how many people would refuse to play? Stats on items such as the magical, epic, special were introduced to keep NGD's cash flow going..(they need to there a company after all) however isnt that in direct correlation with that fact that when all hit 50, we get sod all in drops? All the stuff i have on RA was either a drop or a drop that was given by somebody who had dropped it themselves, very hard to drop those kind of items anymore. :(

in the original UT, in low gravity matches, i liked to jump off the top of the tower (facing worlds) and rain rockets down near the entrance to the enemy base.

In ut2k4, they opened up the mods and maps to mere mortals. I loved playing one server that had the rocket launcher mod coupled with the dual wield mod.

pick up one rocket launcher and it was the OMFG gun, run accross another and you got the 'OH Dear God Sir' upgrade. 2 count them 2 fully auto OMFG guns on fully auto with 10k rockets. fire rate was like 25/second.

With this mod, you could carpet an entire map very quickly......

best thing was whenever hyperblast?(cant remember the exact name the last map in the single player) map came on id switch the the hammer/piston and win the map just running around with that thing charged

oh and the trickjumping that was possible once i started to get sick of the instagib ctf servers i started to play bunnytrack mod which used all the trickjumps and was like timetrials on single or 2-3 man team tracks had a full world record system and everything and successfully killed all my instagib skillz

ahh memories ut99 was one of the best games ever made
