Please put here your results and deatailes about your video card under linux and drivers version.
I madeit tons of tests with all drivers versions under Linux.
Best bechmark what reflected my actual may fps under Linux was with Unigine Benchmark.
You can dwnload this one from >>here<< (http://unigine.com/download/)
How you can test:.
Download program via bit torrent or ftp.
Installing:
after donwload..:
give command to setup as execuatable:
"chmod 777 unigine_beach.run"
Execute programe:
"./unigine_beach.run"
This will unarchive in one folder near your download folder in one folder named "beach" or another think.
just cnage directory to that folder and run the right version of your VGC for example:
"./1024x768_unigine_sanctuary".
This benchmark will reflect same fps as in Ro if you setup him same with Ro settings.
I think RO is buildet in same engine ...not sure....
Anyway this thread proposal is to find right settings to gain max of fps on RO for specific VGA card.
PS:You need rights as root to setup as executable
Debian distributions:
-sudo chmod 777 xxxxx.run
-second way logins as root(give to root one password"passwd root" ...setup new pass as root.
after login as root "login:root"..or "su" what deafult si root.
RedHat distributions:
-login as root with "su" what default is root or "su root".

RO uses its own proprietary engine, which relies on the underlaying DirectX or OpenGL engines(like most other engines). RO is using NGD3D engine, which NGD made and they are the only company to have documentation to the engine and I believe that the engine is strictly proprietary, so much so that it would be illegal for another company to use it.

Its not using the same engine, is basically what I'm saying. RO has its own benchmarking tool builtin.

I know about they build in benchmark...but that benchmark not help me at all to gaine fps(default settings of build in benchmark is sucks set all at hight and i have 12 fps standing and 3 fps in war) and you cant use him separatly to test your grafic card performance.
So i choset this benchmark to test my video card settings and drivers version.
Anyway NGD3D is sucks engine ...if you look how look water on tropical benchmark you will see diference :P
but this wasnt proposal of thread.
