The problem with the intro is that is wasn't neutral.

Basically making syrtis sound "good", Ignis "evil" and Alsius just boring.

It helped the intial massive population imbalance.

It would be great to have a new one, the contest for the scrypt sounds a very good idea :)

I really liked it. Spanish talking gived some exotic ancient atmosphere to this intro. It will be good new one to be made.

maybe you could have something like:

Syrtis: The ancient immotal elves benevolent and majestic, banished members of their realm into the desert. The reason not conforming to their laws and being led by the seductive power of necromancy.

Ignis: Outraged by their elders that banished them to the harsh desert sands, though they believe they did what had to be done or be crushed by the forces of the Igneos. they vowed revenge on the Syrtians for their contempt.

Alsius: An empire built on the blood of war and the steel of the forge, they came from across the see with ideals of conquest. The war between the elven factions seemed perfect to quell their thirst for battle, In the name of the emperor.

that seems more balanced for people Syrtis = prejudiced old fashioned legolas elves. Dark elves = corrupted by dark powers but with good reasons behind it. Alsius = blood crazed maniacs who invade other realms for the fun of it.
