EDIT: Same problem as this thread http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=62051

I'm new to Linux and regnum online. I had a problem with my Intel video card, (unsupported) but that is fixed by using S3TC in driconf. Now when i select a world to use i get a small box with regnum logo saying checking firewall. The the resolution changes (a portion of my desktop is cut off) and my desktop is unusable (the box from before is still there). All i can do is move the mouse. I had to hold the power button to shutdown. I disabled compiz, tried again. This time when it froze my desktop resolution didn't change. But as before I could only use the mouse. What is wrong?

One hint:"When desktop frozen just press "alt+ctrl+backspace" for relaunch X server".

Try to launch "./rolauncher -v" under terminal and tell us the log.
You can find log in in regnum instalation folder ..usual /home/$USER/regnum/live..

Cheack with "sudo nano /ect/X11/xorg.conf" your Vsync(try to run him at 60 Hz).... or lower.

Save backtrace and post here.

When I run ./rolauncher -v I get segmentation fault. I will try reinstall. With a new download.

I uninstall-ed regnum. Deleted ~/regnum folder and downloaded new installer from bittorrent. Still getting seg fault.

When you get segmentation fault some of your libraries are missing,or some rights of read/write are screwed... i recomand you to reinstall your linux.
Is not so hard to reinstall your distro usual need max 20 minuts.
Also good think...next time make 2 partitions:
-1. "/"-system
-2."/home"
Because if you have one troble with your distro you can reinstall your linux
without lossing your data and settings.(format only "/"partition).
-also use one stable linux and easy to configure(mandriva,ubuntu,debian,centos...)and not comunitys distros..
