Hey guys, just wanted to post this message that i'm taking a break from Regnum Online not because of any problem with the game (well i suppose i am getting bored with end game quicker than i used to but thats not the reason why.) The update is great and refreshing and i love playing all my chars.

But the downside to having such a small community on horus especially is the Drama. Recently i personally have come under attack from old friends thus i'm leaving. If i was just another face in the crowd like on WoW or something it wouldn't have happened this is something that happens in this game far too often people make friends and then those friendships go up n flames i have forged many strong friendships in this game and i wont forget those people (i have them on MSN anyway) My characters will be played and their items will not go to waste.

Maybe i'll come back when no one knows who i am and i'm just another face in the crowd.

My clan will still be active and run by its other leaders and i will maintain its website still.

I can understand posting saying you will take a break, but as far as I see it you are just seeking attention by posting that you're leaving because of drama.

If you read his post, he was complaining about the amount of drama in a small community and saying that it drove him away from the game.

I was just wondering why you would even mention that if you were trying to avoid drama and say goodbye to your friends. There are plenty of ways to do that, this one being probably the most confrontational to whomever he was fighting with. Not to mention the most likely way to add more drama to his life.

Here's a few tips if you want to avoid confrontations in the future.

1) Your clan name is easy to change, change it. This is always refreshing, sometimes clans need new beginnings.
3) Make sure that no one in your clan will tell anyone else who you are.
2) Use the name change scroll.
4) Change your character's apperance completely using premium items, even if it means losing some good gear.

But the fact remains nothing will ever save you from drama, in this game or anywhere else.

I used to go by the forum name "Katiechan", had 750+ posts in 2007 and was a very active member of the community, but because of all the drama, I changed that name, deleted all of my posts and left for half a year.

Then in the game I used to play on RA server for the first three years or so (until it eventually lost all English players), and when there was drama in Syrtis, I switched to Ignis, and when there was drama in Ignis, I switched to Alsiuis, and then back to Syrtis.

You know what I learned? It is a huge waste of time and nothing else.

Now I've been using Mikan for 3+ years, play in ONE realm on Horus and ONE clan on ONE character (with the occasional alt. :p).

You get on your main character, you go to the nearest fort, and you sit there and build a war party, then you attack an enemy fort or go hunting around the nearest bridge. You put anyone who is bad mouthing you on ignore, and you cut some throats.

Life continues on. Those who do really like you will continue to like you, forever. Those who don't and who were only pretending will betray you and become your enemies, but the thing you have to remember is, your presence is a value to them, good or bad, so don't give them the joy of hating you, ignore them and if they're an enemy, kick them in the face.

That's all there is to it my friend.

Thanks for your words Mikan, however this Thread was really just to say bye to guys in alsius and other realms that i dont have on MSN. I uninstalled RO and deleted the installer so couldn't be bothered to go in game and say bye there so posted here (yep not looking for sympathy just being lazy).

I have always been happy in Alsius the war is awesome and most of the people are awesome to ^^ I have no desire to switch realm but also no desire to play either. This has nothing to do with Meco she is still playing and looking after my clan.

Like i said in the OP this is just a long break as with drama in other games yeah the occasional flame war and troll happens but meh nothing i'm not used to.

My chars will still be played so dont worry about my gear going to waste ^^.
