Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.
Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, t'was his intent
To blow up the King and Parli'ment.
Three-score barrels of powder below
To prove old England's overthrow;
By God's providence he was catch'd
With a dark lantern and burning match.
Holla boys, Holla boys, let the bells ring.
Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the Queen!
And what should we do with him? Burn him!

To anyone who is out tonight, have a good one. :smile:

As it happens, they won't let me build a bonfire in my back yard in November. Even though it's been raining almost constantly for the last month or so.

To celebrate that Guy Fawkes failed to blow up Parliament.

Wiki can explain it in more detail. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Fawkes_Night)

Don't forget that Fawkes was the fall guy, too.

If we could replace the Guy by some French president I would definetly support the bonefire!
