Hey
I have a problem with Regnum Online. It installed fine on Ubuntu 10.10. But when I login, it comes up with the following message:
Unsupported video card!
There are three possible causes for this error:
1. Your video card is too old
2. You haven't installed the latest available drivers
3. You haven't installed the latest DirectX version
My current video card or graphics driver is a: Intel 82G33
If you could help me resolve this it would be much appreciated and if there is a solution to this problem could you ensure that I can easily follow it as I'm not technically minded when it comes to this sort of stuff.
Thanks!

I don't know if it is possible to play regnum with that graphic chipset.
only solution would be to buy an nvidia graphics card (or ati, but i belive nvidia support for linux may be better)
btw regnum performance when running openGl is realy not good. I would suggest using Windows (directx) instead (together with a new graphic card)
If you wanna buy new graphic card ... I bougth an ati 4650 just a week ago (40 €) . Regnum is running with it realy good.

Would that support a Windows XP computer? And also, I will be getting a new, good Windows 7 laptop just after Christmas so I'd might as well wait until I get that laptop to start playing again.

Windows Xp is fine... win 98 should do as well ^^ , as long as its possible to install drivers for the graphics card and newest directX.
Laptops sometimes have realy bad graphic cards . But if its a good one, you souldn't have to worry.
Intel just sucks... If u wanna play games you need an ATI or Nvidia .

OpenGL performance is up to par with DirectX performance now since the recent fix.
As for the graphics card, please follow these instructions:

open terminal (i believe its under accessories for ubuntu)
type: sudo apt-get install driconf
that will instal the driconf
then run it (type driconf in terminal)
there is option to force that under image quality or something. poke around :)
