I've heard it's really tough, specially now in Australia, I hope everyone from here is okay and safe. I keep my fingers crossed really :S

In Australia the immediate impact of the floods is going to be a whole lot less than the progressive effects on the wholesale food markets, especially grains and fruit. And our grain market will of course affect the international market quite a bit. The timing could only just barely be worse. I don't think the media has quite yet picked up on the scale of the coming produce collapse. It sounds like a cynical thing to focus on but it has a real potential to cost lives.

Watch out, world.

I do imagine, we had similar problems with our crops this summer. You still can import though, even Russia after a tough drought this year managed to sustain 60% food production and did not suffer hunger. Keeping my fingers crossed.

untill march? sheesh

in belgium we have the same problems (lesser scale ofc) the river Dender is flooding again, it's not as worse as it was in november (we had 1m water above the streets) but it's the 2nd time in a short period. and with no governement there is nothing going to be done about the problems <<

i'm trying to get sick of this country
