We have 2 linux clients here - one on Debian Etch & One on Mandriva 2007 official.

Both are disconnecting every few minutes with the message "You have been disconnected from the server"

The internet connection is perfectly stable (and happily runs EVE Online or Silkroad Online for hours)

does anyone have any suggestions ?

If there are any logs that would help (up to & including network logs from wireshark) please say & I will post them - this has been happening since the reset :crying1:

One used wifi, one used ethernet: the problem seems to have vanished a couple of days ago in one of the updates.

so - officially, since we've been stable for 2-3 days - problems over.

And the problem is back :(

Internet connection is rock solid, there is no indication of a crash, Just get the message "You have been disconnected from the server".... Been happening every 5-30 minutes all afternoon ?

This is a wired connection - 2 computers using the same broadband line, invariably only one will be disconnected ?

Any help or suggestions would be welcome - I don't know if this is a client or server problem...

well, just because you have a solid connection to one place, doesn't necessarily mean you have a connection to another place, you can use traceroute to trace the path, see where packetloss is happening
