Running in Circles

Several times today I ran into alsius players who would run in circles out of the range of my barb.

I would like to say alsius please stop doing this as it is an exploit. You are circumventing the lack of range on my barb by staying out of it entirely. And it is ruining my fun.

Please dont argue with me on this as its my opinion and yours is certainly wrong if it is not mine.

I absolutely agree with you.
Everyone should play without moving against a barb and maybe only using normal hits, it's your opponents fault if they play an archer or a mage.

No, this is not an exploit.

The problem is NGD failed to fix that not facing/phantom hits thing, even with a new network code specifically designed towards that.
Just remove the need to face someone (direction facing) to hit for the first few meters (like it has been once) and those should be gone.

This running around trying to provoke these issues isnt quite an exploit by itself, its just a very bad manner imo.

I would like to hijack this thread to ask marks to wait until mages are within 30 meters to attack as their range advantage is unfair. Even better, could everybody just stay 20 to 30 meters from mages please.

I don't see why moving during a fight should be considered as abuse. I will use it until anyone of the NGD stuff confirms that moving around an enemy is an exploit.

But maybe I don't even use this "exploit" and you mean something else.

Its no bug or anything, just bad balance occured by some bad thought out changes as introducing instant turning and strafing for ranged classes and the reduction of warriors speed.

I am pretty sure you guys that are whining about fair tactics are the ones who look like the idiots. We can kill you just fine, we just enjoy having some fun in the process. We don't need the tower to kill you... I think we proved that last night. :)

Unlike to some people this isn't "Grindmasters" to us. If you have a problem with the way we play then just stay in your grind spot and don't worry about it.

Running around in circles, is merely good ground tactic. By your rationale, Terekon, then ambushes, seeking and turning flanks, maintaining reconnaissance, using obstacles, Heights, rivers, swamps, passes, choke points, and natural cover, should all be considered exploits, and disallowed.

Works as designed, not an exploit.

For that matter, go skill Spiritual Blow, Howl, and Deafening Roar, and learn to move in a circle yourself. :)
