Cannot Log In

A few days ago, as I was running the RO client, there was a update (of some sort) that was 604 kb. Ever since then, I have not been able to log on.

It starts out as being stuck on the loading bar;

...after 1 minute or so, I get this;

After that, the game client window closes, but refuses to leave the Task Bar;

I've seen that 204,272 number get as high as 260,000. At this point, my only option is a system restart, try launching the game again, and it still happens.

Anyone else run into this?

I had the same problem on my older win installation about one year ago. That thread must exist here somewhere. Here (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=61149) it is. However, I never have been able to solve this issue and I tried a lot. Since I had to reinstall my OS because my harddrive died, I do no longer have this issue.

I had the same (or wery simmilar) problem. Try reinstalling ro.

I've uninstalled, removed all traces of the game, ran CCleaner, restarted, redownloaded.

Now, the thing is freezing on install, right where it begins extraction. 50% of the cpu is locked down, as well as half of my RAM.

I've managed to get the game to install (had to go into Safe Mode).

Guess what?

It now stops earlier than before. Also; it's still locking up my CPU and RAM.

The only difference is now I can't normally restart; I have to kill the power to my machine.

Did you try playing with your firewall?
To test if it's your firewall, try enabling the windows one and turning off the one you usually use (if you use anotherone).

Somehow, my speculation about my computers possible inappropriate relationship with its mother has made the game work.
