ATI and RO

Excuse me, is this game supposed to work with Ati Radeon open source driver?
I played it with official driver, but since I installed open source driver, there's something wrong, and I can't access the game. When I try, I don't even get any error line in terminal, just another blank line. It's similiar to another post, but I don't have 64Bit Ubuntu...

In fact I'm playing with official drivers now...

Actually if you have the open source ATI drivers, you can play it under wine (v0.9.38).
It works but you have no cursor visible. I've been trying several patches to correct the problem, but none worked.

I've just posted the bug on wine bugzilla...

I can play the game with Open Source drivers with not a single crash.
Haven't experienced a crash for months, and the game is quite fast.

I use Ubuntu Feisty 7.04, but the key is to use the newer version of MESA 6.5.3. For information about how to install it check:

I play with an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 with 32MB VRAM.
Which is already 3 years old.
