I can't even see the promotion code on the facebook fanpage. I am really disappointed in how NGD communicates with us.

Not even for some of them. I couldn't view the poster from my account. So I guess "big free surprises" are only for chosen users.

Nothing is wrong with using facebook or twitter or whatever once they do not abandon their traditional channels for providing information.

Unfortunately That is exactly what they are doing.

They even abandoned their blog in favour of this fad. What was the point of the blog then? The twitter and the facebook should be directing people to the website , not the other way around. It is just nonsense logic.

Also, just because you have 20 thousand followers or fans does not make the game any more popular. How many accounts made in game ? 1 million. How many of those play? How many twitterers and facebookers are going to play.
It is just a fad. Games develop because of its base of cult followers who by word of mouth spread indie type games like this. They are the ones you have to keep happy. Facebookers are already hooked on Farmville and Sorority life. They are lost to you.

The site must be the definitive portal to the world. To do otherwise would simply look like an unprofessional company working from a basement.

I have facebook (contact with old schoolmates only) and I look at NGD tweets for info(not a fan). I still think it is weak policy. But maybe I am not in the flow of things.
