Hello - Im running openSuse 11.4 (2.8GHz dualcore w/ 4GB RAM), KDE desktop, with an nVidia GTS450 videocard.

When I run ./rolauncher I get the following output after entering my username and password:

The program 'rolauncher' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)'.
(Details: serial 32 error_code 3 request_code 138 minor_code 4)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Anyone seen this before?

Never seen that error before I am afraid.
Do you get it directly after entering username and password, and then clicking "Login" ?
Or you get it after pressing "Play" in the launcher (the next step) ?

I get it after entering my username and password.

I do have the latest nVidia drivers installed on my system as well.

Are you running rolauncher as your normal user?

Yes, as my normal user. I have permissions set so I can run it. Think I need to run it as root?

Nope, you shouldn't need to.
Just to make sure, try downloading a recently uploaded 64-bit rolauncher and replace yours.

Eh Im a little uneasy about downloading executables from random sites. I did just download the installer over the weekend, is that not the most up to date one?

That server is mine, although that probably won't make you feel less uneasy :P
The one provided in the installer is kinda out-of-date (April), and I figured a later build might fix it.
It's just an idea, and probably won't work either anyway, and then I'm out of ideas.

I hope you manage to solve it somehow.

Turns out OpenGL was not installed properly for my nVidia card (tried to run glxgears and received a similar error).

I reinstalled the nVidia driver in init 3 rebooted and was able to run the program
