Probably because most country's, particularly smaller ones, defences against cyber based attacks are way behind the times and if they wanted they could throw those country's into chaos 'for the lulz'

Not sure if they'll still be luling when armed forces show up on the fortified doorstep of their mom's house but you never know.

World is already in the "lulz" for more than 10 years. Wikileaks was one of last drops. Internet is one of last places you can be free and where you can do what you like. If some countries and governments want to make people criminals for the lulz, then why this "criminals" not show them what they are capable of?

No matter how good someone is prepared he is not prepared. System is weak as his weakest link. And usually this links are people. People make mistakes.

No matter how good you are prepared and how big you are an good ol DDOS can bring any site or server down. You can not stop this. Only thing you can do is plug servers off from the internet.

You heared of Bitcoin? Decentralized currency which is not in control of any country. And they want to get rid of it, because of alot reasons. We live in a free world - think again. :D
