Most of small fps drops are when you are running and changing areas. I guess it's cause of graphical assets loading.
Sometimes it also happens when rotating camera, every 3D models are white, RO is loading, then fps goes back to a normal rate.

But the worst is when someone is stuck (from your client point of view) in a fort, behind a rock or anywhere else and you have to run for 300m to get away enough from him, to finally see him at his true location.

This bug is still not fixed after many many months. No one hopes for a fix anymore.

It also happens a lot after a WM teleport, lots of people appear under the ground, and then get stuck behind every rock, tree, ... causing huge fps drop.

I see many times ppl under ground after WM teleport too, seems to be a OpenGL engine isssue ...even in Mac i have this issue.

Yeah the game is pretty slow running on my machine now. I've tried to play but it's now unplayable even at the lowest settings. The FPS just drops dramatically when characters start loading onto my screen. I hope they start optimizing the game a bit again for performance so that I can try the game out again.

my fps jumps alot on linux

also I have noticed when this happens my server ping stays at 147 - 175 but the gameplay ping goes to 180- 220
they used to be pretty close to each other within 20 before the last update

I have a similar problem. I run a quad-processor that can play multiple high-graphic games at once (or minecraft and regnum on full graphics). For some reason, every 2 hours or so the fps will slow to a 4 fps crawl. There doesn't seem to be a pattern. Once I was grinding, another time I was hunting, and yet another, I was just standing afk at CS. My usual fps goes around 100ish, so I never had a problem with fps until now. Maybe it is a camera thing? I have found some funny bugs when moving the camera around a bit

I don't have very high fps at all. Regnum runs with slightly less fps than The Witcher 2 :cuac:

fps has droped significantly after these major update. for example, i used to have 190fps when im alone now only 120fps. in fort wars i used to have like 80fps but now only around 30fps on average. ndg has done some changes to its graphic engine and added a lot of new stuff like the real world physics shit which are the cause of the drop. also the crashes are more often then ever in forts and RvRs around the forts

I get an average of 40 FPS standing at Aggers save, in SM 4.0 with maxed settings, in a 1400x900 window in Linux. Sounds like I'm doing pretty well, right? Except that my system is a six-core beast with 8GB of RAM and a GTX 480 (the mother of all video cards from the previous generation), so my frame rate is pathetic. Regnum only consumes 15% of the CPU on my system... where is all of that extra power going? Even if it's the lack of multithreading, the game should at least consume up to 25% of my CPU due to TurboBoost which makes my processor run at 3.7GHz when only one core is being heavily used. But not even that happens.

I hope NGD optimizes the engine some in the coming months... far more complex games still give about 5x the FPS with much better graphics.

After upgrading to ubuntu 11.10, my fps are divided by 2.
So I m using a second OS where I did not make the upgrade.
Is there somebody experiencing the same problem ?
