cant launch RO in ubuntu11.10

i have set all the options to the lowest setting and disabled the sound, there is no crash_backtrace log in "live" directory, this is the only error message it shows

I freshly (two days ago) reinstalled ubuntu 11.10 (amd64), and regnum works fine.

Caveat for the sound: you need to install libopenal and then it works fine with pulseaudio.

What is your hardware (CPU, memory, graphic card, driver of graphic card) ?

Have you tried it fullscreen or in a window ? What resolution ?





Special hint for multicore: I found that restricting RO to one core give me less issues (seems less crash, no more lock at the firewall-splash and so one). Maybe it's just a placebo. My launcher is a shell script: taskset 002 regnum/rolauncher

Along with your system info (CPU, graphics, RAM), any lines from /var/log/Xorg.0.log that begin with (EE) will be helpful.
