Black screen

Regnum fully works until I click "Enter game world". When I click that, it shows a black box. It doesn't change from there on.

This black box stays open and never closes (even when I click the escape button).

Fyi, I am running Ubuntu 11.10

Ehm... Sounds like you updated drivers. At least this is how it happens with me on Fedora and Ubuntu.

Think I had something similar once using too high shader model on intel graphics.

I had the same problem after updating drivers for another game. I don't know how to fix it but I can still play if i change the shader to fixed pipeline.

I run Ubuntu 11.10 too, and it went all black for me, i ran shader 4...the only way to fix teh black screen and the crashes...downgrading to shader 2..which sucks...cos inknow my pc can handle shader 4...and this only happens on haven..not Ra

I turned the shader to fixed pipeline. Now it will start up, thanks!

Yesterday tho the changelog stated they had fixed the black screen and crashes, so i went back to shader 4 again....worked fine, till i hit a fort, crashed again, so back to shader 2 again, till its really fixed :/
