Hello all,

Well Everytime I restart the client it always updates Intro.ogg, Generally I can deal with this (not atm Capped :( ) But this doesnt seem to be the issue as such, So I had an issue with getting past the Loading Realm Data and I found the problem with that, (Firewall was turned on) So I turned it off, restarted the game, loadinded the Intro.ogg file again (Takes 20 mins on capped internet :( ) - So Anyways I get in create my character this time, then it starts loading all the resources, it got down to like 2 to go errored, then I restarted, (loaded intro.ogg again) went in and I am currently at the same point. If it errors again I shall post my Log file to see. But each Time its like a 30 minute process :( - Anyone seen these issues?

1. Intro.ogg always updates
2. Erroring at 2 files remaining to download.

Is it possible that your regnum installation folder is write-protected somehow?

Thankyou for the fast response, I have been out all day so havent gotten to double check till now, No The folder isnt Write Protected that I can find, I can make new files alter any file in there, so It doesnt seem to be that, one thing of note though is because I have been capped, I downloaded the installer from games.internode.on.net as it is free badwidth and uncapped :) So this might be the reason but I am unsure.

When i have a little more time up my sleeve Ill do a few tests and that so I can find out :) - It is just the intro.ogg file that redownloads everything else doesnt, just that File, So I have done a complete Reinstall now, (different Drive (D:\Regnum online).I am doing the first update. Will let you know how it goes.
[Edit] - So I got to the point of the ingame resource update, (1267/1270) and then 1270 bumped up to 1300 odd, but stayed at only 3 resources to load, walked away watched Fantastic 4, came back same spot... so am I doing something wrong?

Ok so I restarted the app and bam intro.ogg starts downloading again. However I went into the game again and it continued from the previous resource, so I let it finish and got in game :) Looks lovely, and killed 2 cubs then bam client error :( I must be unlucky hehe. Restarted it up and Intro starts downloading again.

So far have tried, Reinstalled the game, Changed Permissions on the main folder and all sub folders (I am the administrator on them with full control). (Read only is Checked on folders but not the files (Windows Thing I hear from other people)) -BTW Windows isnt fully updated as it is a new install.

The Launcher runs a MD5 checksum of all game files to see which ones needs to be updated. Sounds like *something* is touching your intro.ogg, maybe? Can you make a copy of the file before patching and compare it to the downloaded copy after patching?

Well I made a copy and compared. Both .ogg Files are exactly the same. But I did a bit of altering in the settings, and putting the Top slider to 1 in advanced options (above antialising) seemed to fix it when I chose that, exited, and pasted the Intro.ogg File back in, rebooted, and it didnt want to load the file. (tested 4 times none of them tries to load the file)

But The Client Crashes (before the movie so Im doing a reinstall, as I think I might be corrupted from the crash before not sure) Oh it was doing this ever since the Crash before (Before I changed the Ogg file association, which shouldnt have killed it anyways it just means windows has no association with the file. ) Reinstalled, Done the same, fixed :)

Exited, .ogg doesnt reload :D
Exited started again .ogg doesnt try to reload.
So Like went in Loaded all resources again, played for awhile, had to go out, so exited, loaded up, resources loading again, do they always load from the web?

Oh and a big thankyou for the awesome respoonses :) Certainly the fastest I have gotten in quite awhile ;) Thanks
