I'm not blaming anyone here really.
I'm just asking for solution.
I don't think I'm the only one who suffers from lags.
if I understand it correctly it's not about the graphics, meaning that if I play with low graphics or high graphics it wouldn't matter at all.
so what can I do to make it run better ?
I use Linux, but I don't think it matters in this cease.

Have you done the General things, Like Open up the Ports the game uses on your router / firewall etc? That straight of the bat makes a nice difference :)
Other than That I'm sure a Dev might be able to steer some more knowledge into the subject :)
Oh came across this On the main page 2 ;)

The server checks your position constantly in order to prevent speedhacks. The problem is that it corrects the position of evey player all the time, which is a very heavy-load task for ANY server, resulting in something similar to lag.
The developers are aware of this problem and working on a solution.
My source of information is the spanish forum.

I was hoping to avoid this....I can't close my aMule :(
but this must be the problem.
but it's not just me, other people who doesn't use a/eMule also have lags.
I rarely have lags; however, when I play the game I run a quick netstat and see what I have running and I close all unnecessary applications (to include pidgin)

lol if you run P2P in the background then you shouldnt be surprised that you lag.
BUT today it was unplayable on the server and several people had this problem.
First its fine, then suddenly theres a few seconds lag (cant move at all, alt+p show connection problem or high ping) then it works again.
i never had this before.
