Game simply not loading

I don't know if there was some resources uploaded in last 24 hours,I do have some.Now after launcher,resources load fine,although they take unusual long time.After that was finally and i get to the character window actual entering the game just does not hapen,the load bar is stuck at about 2/3 and its still keeps downloading some resources.Just for a joke i left it there for say 3,4 hours :P Didnt move at all and also did not crash.Anyone might know what the issue might be?
P.S.:Reinstaling the game,did not help,drivers are all up to date,safe mode does same.FUNNY?! Even though resources do download at amun,spawning the char. and entering the game is ok :bangin:

I have EXACTLY the same problem. I cant load the game on windows .I haven't tried running it on linux yet ... It may solve the problem

On linux here with the same problem, guess the resource server is down or something, timeout connecting to 91.123.198.165:80

Solved it by removing that server from game.cfg.

Just tried removing it from game.cfg and it gets re-added around the same time as the splash video comes up, also tried re-ordering them but that gets changed back too. It's got as far as character selection now and is slowly downloading, looks like its having to timeout for every resource before trying the next ip /:

Well, might have worked as placebo for me. Yea, right. launcher resets game.cfg state, so only way is to "hax" launching game directly.

@71175 starting the game with ROClientGame does not work for me, the game does not load at all.

I can easy add this issues to the current list of issues encountered while playing the game.

I want lib_astral too :O. I mean that you pass username and password md5sum to game client as command line arguments.

I've been having a similar issue. I purchased a new PC a few days ago and installed RO on it. It updated fine and downloaded all the resources as it was meant to but once I got passed the black screen and onto the loading screen it just stopped loading at around 25%. I left it overnight, woke up the next morning and it was still on around 25%. Tried closing and re-opening it but it never went passed that point. Eventually I just copied my entire up-to-date RO folder off my laptop and replaced it on my PC and this solved the issue. But what if I was a new player or did not have a copy of the updated game, would I have been stuck on 25% permanently?

Things like this really drive away new players. I've seen comments on various MMO review websites where players stated that they weren't able to log onto to the game for the same reason and got fed up and eventually didn't bother trying again.

Can this issue get solved anytime soon? I have also this problem, installed regnum on laptop but log keep getting spammed with this http://i.imgur.com/ThitBvQ.jpg

This prevents new players as well as old players coming back to the game!

I got the game working, but not official way. While waiting for the official fix, people who have problems with this may try the method I did
1. Remove the 91.123.198.165:80; from your game.cfg
2. Log in bypassing launcher (howto, google is friend)

No errors here, game loaded perfectly and is working now.

Maybe need to bump this thread a bit, still having the same issue and apparently its been this way for 5 days now. Someone in game said they sent in a ticket for it and where told by support the problem must be their side, they're having the same trouble on both linux and windows. I tried re-installing, no difference but a shedload more to download, any new players having this trouble are unlikely to be that patient.

The OSX client on numerous reloads occurs as well.

I get small bursts of data, and then it just sits, and eventually disconnects me.

Ive attempted to install the game on 2 linux machines, Both of my Macbooks, and a windows VM, and they all do the same thing.

At least Gamesamba acknowledged that NGD acknowledged that there's a problem and they're working on it.

Somethings changed, had 1 resource stuck every time before the char select screen that's ok now. Still stuck though, ctl+l says repeated timeouts on 91.123.198.39:80 and 141.255.189.253:80

A tcpdump shows a more than a few packet attempt retries for hosts 91.123.198.39, 141.255.189.253 and 91.123.198.165 I dont see much ack. This is no happy.

Only at the char select screen atm but so far resources are dl'ing without problems, thanks.
