Hi all,
I dropped a legendary lvl 45 Knight gauntlet the other day, and would like to gift it.
Can clan leaders kindly have a look at their clannies, and pick one who you think deserves the gift. Get in touch with me either in game (name's Jarne/Jaro Seeker) or here with a name, and why you think s/he deserves the gift.
I'll hand the gift over next Wednesday eve. So please do bang a name through.
Cheers,
Screenie of gaunts attached. Realm, OFC is Syrtis :swordfight:

The amount of x's determines the level of noobness, with 0 x's being not nooby and 6 x's meaning extreme n0ob. Just kidding... I'm not a clan leader but i nominate Candy because he should be king of syrtis.
Kind regards xShadowForcexxxxxxxxx

The resists on it are terrible. I would even go for a store bought one with good physical resists, as it makes a considerable difference to the damage you take over time when grinding. And as for warring, it wont be too great there either :D.

I was gonna mention how bad these are, but the guy is doing a nice thing I guess. I recommend learning how to gear before getting 60 though (y)

Those were my thoughts too. Its really important for a melee class to have a good physical resistance when grinding, especially a knight who takes more hits than a barbarian because of his reduced damage. I always advise low level knights to stay away from the Shamshir set.
Unless you plan on grinding on ghosts ofc.

Re Resists:
Too true, they're nice vs magical but too poor vs melee. One knight I spoke to wouldn't take them if offered, so I'll simply offer and see whether whoever it is wants, and if 1st ask says no, go to 2nd and so on.
My advice would be to balance the stats vs the resists i.e. gaunts are the least protective of the gear (they soak up 20% or less of the dmg I believe) so if the knight likes the stats s/he might decide it's worth it if rest of gear is good.
Anyways, my hunter's end gear is good enough, my barb is still a work in progress, and I'm not too fussed about mags or selling. Rather give someone the opportunity to have a legendary piece, especially if they're non xim players (even though I dropped these no boxed them).

Whatever you do, don't give them to an itemwhore. Also what LTP and Awrath and Shwish said.

And the final nomination came in - Ludwig von Mises. Ludwig accepted the gaunts, so GL Ludwig!
Thanks to all who nominated players  Some nice ppl who are really helpful and great fun were nominated, I wish I had more interesting stuff to give a bit to all.
Maybe next one will be an eve drop I can't use on my chars :lighten: dreams, dreams...
