Upcoming Balance
Hi,
I haven't made a thread in a long while but I find this upcoming topic interesting. Just a few questions and comments. The other thread is closed temporarily so I was wondering what would be scope of such updates? Parameters and scope of reference would be very helpful to save both NGD and posters from wasting time. Aside of that, I am wondering if NGD is thinking about addressing the issue of the 20 extra power points and discipline points or even if NGD considers that there is an issue there at all? NGD knows my personal opinion, which is that maybe a new system needs to be applied for 51-60. I won't go over much of it aside that maybe you should just be able to equip one or 2 and you simply acquire all spells permanently as you level up, one spell per 2 levels. No points required. What you will use in war is what you can equip ( that being 2 or 3 spells of the WM set) The reason I bring it up again is because I am of the opinion that tweaking individual spells and then trying to modify that issue of extra points may be putting the cart before the horse. Of course many other small things can be done to make things better like adjustments to spells, movement, Global CD , singular CD and condition/cc applications but , would it not be a good idea to look at the foundation ( if it can be fixed that is)? TL;DR: Consider point scarcity and division of labour leading to diversity as one foundational formula for balance. Regards. |

Don't worry guys Conjy's getting nerfed again. We already had our heals nerfed, mana pyleon, mana comm, we have longest cd.....
It's bad enough we get shit for "not doing our jobs in wz" but now we are going the have arcane devotion nerfed as well?? Steel skin sukx now too so defenses are crap. The best skill we had was vital surrender but they took that too. I remember when just one or two conjys could keep an entire group healed now you gotta have like 4 or 5 do a half ass job. Everyone always complains about them nerfing all other classes but no one ever complains about conj when they get nerfed. Nubz says he ain't gonna heal in wz anymore and I think I'm gonna play another class as well. Keisha (60) Conj: Ignis |

I think I missed that.. where is it stated that arcane devotion is getting nerfed?

In all the seriousness, I think steel skin is a great spell. If you use it correctly, it's priceless. The problem I would see is spells like MS, that will hopefully get modified in the balance update. So you should look forward to it. Quote:
OT: I'm sure the upcoming balance will be praised and criticized all the same. I look forward to any changes, of course I hope only for the best. I do believe, that NGD is aware of many issues regarding the current balance, and I'm absolutely certain, that the community will voice it's opinions even more vigorously now I'm quite happy, that a balance update has finally being launched.

Hope NGD can look into the stacking of debuffs and especially crowd control, it feels like it gotten way out of hand. I like to remember this was handled quite nicely in the past, before you started to meddle with AoE and auras, giving higher level spells priority. It somehow spilled over on the simple but logical restrictions of stacking CCs.
