there were scammers running about pretending to be others.

ingame try to add the names to friends list and see if they are still current names.the players in alsius were creating names close to others then deleting them right afterwards.

the people in alsius were fooled very easily.an upper case i and lower case L look almost identical.

Overkill's my thing ... I wouldn't stop there ... if anyone wants your goodies, invite them into a mumble or other v-chat you & they use & verify i.d. ... if you don't know them well enough to have been in a v-chat with them before so you (or someone you really trust who is also in there) can recognize their voice, then it's better to be safe than sorry ... & just say "no".
