ive never played a melee build, can some1 tell me about auto attacks..

i was wondering, if i play say a barb, do i have to click my mouse button for every attack?

or if u hold it down, will it just keep repeat swinging with say my sword?

or will i only swing if an enemy is in range?

or if i enter combat mode, will i just keep swinging around even if i dont click the mouse button or something?

You target something, you run up to it in combat mode, you hit automatically.

Basically you can move and hit. Way back pre "auto attack" you had to make very short stop to release a hit.

It's really not as easy as just "whapping everybody". You're in a pretty vulnerable position where ranged classes are concerned, especially those fucking locks. You will learn to hate them if you don't already. Marks will use you as their personal pincushion, and you're in the front lines during war, so expect to die a lot.

Well it kind of is, combined with some basic "know about your class limitations" logic, there really isnt much difference between a decent and a good barb.

Its a bit sad really, but NGD squeezed every bit of skill, timing etc that was needed to perform well out of the barb class.
I dont say some barbs dont have timing or skill, im saying it not a requirement. 

Despite not actively playing the class much for 4+ years, I logged on and “whapped” a few gelfs while camping a bridge, 7 came back (no warriors) and I “whapped” them too.

Sure they were way too eager to gank me back, playing like noobs, but kills just come to cheap, “whack-whack-whack” jajaja.
