Heroic presence

I looked at this spell and 100% protection to everyone in range 10(at lvl5) seems very good, but it costs 500 mana and I don't know the duration. Does someone knows what the duration of this spell is? And is it worth 500 mana?(if not, maybe something for the balance topic: decrease mana costs of heroic presence)

It's a war spell; it costs a lot of mana because the mages in your team are supposed to give it back to you

I've heard rumors that it doesn't work but I can't confirm that. Mines at lvl 1 and I use it when I have the mana to spare.
