VERY small and basic question

hello everyone, I just downloaded the game and I have a really basic question.
I was not sure which forum to ask, tech or newbie so I'll start here:
Are you only able to move with your up down keys? I use a tracker ball mouse and I can't seem to move my character. I tried clicking on the "how to play interface in game but all i got was a blank screen.
I'm sorry it this is the wrong place to ask and I know its a silly question but I have to ask.

You move using the WASD or arrow keys, A (up) and S(down) to go forward and backward (respectively) and the other two keys to rotate. The mouse is used to rotate the screen and select targets by clicking using the left mouse button. I'm not sure I covered it all, but those are the basics for movement.

hm i doubt any of the older players actually use up down keys most of us use w a s d cause its easier to use the mouse also its closer to e which changes your char to walk/run and q which is auto run

Hmm, I use the arrow keys so I can move and focus on casting powers at the same time.. Move hand to mouse to target. I spend a LOT of time with autorun on panning the camera with my mouse though.

thanks so much for the info, I thought the game down loaded wrong at first. I really like the game so far so I hope I can get used to not using my mouse to move my character LOL

It was hard for me too at first, but I got used to it. The worst part for me is still that you can't define your own shortcuts. I would have shortcuts for every single spell :P.

I am the born again noob.
