Evasion issue
Dear NGD,
Once more I would like to show you that something is completely out of order in this game. At the beginning I thought I was the only one thinking the general evasion (also blocks and resists) is on a level FAR too high. But then more and more people started confirming what I thought in IRC, clan chat, general chat. In the last few weeks I've heard more and more people complain about this. You've already told us that you were working on it, but imo the concentration update didn't change anything noticable. It's even fucking hard to grind. On my level 39 hunter I have level 4 passive dext, level 4 passive concentration, level 4 passive hit chance and level 4 Eagle eye, which results in hit chance being above 600. Still, I get too many evades. So many evades that I'm just getting pissed off. On my warlock I can't even have hit chance buffs/passives. Can you tell me how I am supposed to beat a hunter who evades and resists everything? This is a 1on1 against a hunter from syrtis. If I hadn't gotten help, I would have been owned badly. vs was the pet. http://img221.imageshack.us/my.php?i...0922013jv0.png How am I supposed to win such a fight? He didn't even use SotW! I know that it's their setup blabla but their setup isn't supposed to give them GODMODE as long as their buffs run. And he didn't even cast dodge... Really, NGD, I BEG you to fix this, and please TELL us if you actually try to. Right now we all feel punked and completely useless. I'm sure that this is one of the main reasons why there are so few warlocks actually playing atm. (Net el brujo said the same thing to me today)... Kindest regards, Arkenion PS: In the poll, and in this topic, with general evasion I mean also resists and blocks (like the number of blocks due to deflecting barrier in fort wars etc, or the base resists due to intelligence)

Yes, too much evasion. In my opinion, evasion should ONLY WORK if you have evasion based items and use passives or skills to increase your evasion. There should be NO SUCH THING as base evasion.

Especially mages and warriors shouldn't have. I used to be able to rely on the success of SK/vamp when I used them well, which meant that I had to cast it on either mages or barbs. But today this doesn't work anymore. Some time ago an unchallenging barb evaded both sk and vamp in a row :[
Edit: I just saw somebody voted No. Please write why you don't agree with us, because I really can't understand it..

I agree evasion is way too high, sometimes even my barb starts evading like an archer it's crazy. And evasion on dracus is just too random to be playable. I mean I can't rely on it, but sometimes it save my ass from situation where it shouldn't.

I agree with all of you here. I heard once that evasion is with chance? I don't recall who told me this though.

My personal opinion is this:
- Base evasion and resist chance should be removed - Archer evasion buffs should be made more reliable instead of "maybe you live, maybe you die" Currently, the archer buffs may seem overpowered, but like Knight blocks it's always at the wrong time. They save us in situations where they shouldn't, and don't do hardly anything at all in situations where they should. Though, perhaps alot of this is because of the contribution of base evades. I'd like to make three points here:
1. base evasion should be removed to eliminate some of the luck in fights. 2. base evasion should be removed from mobs because i get infuriated with multiple evades from mobs. 3. the game should imo move away from evasion/resists/blocks altogether (including spells and passives) to a well-balanced game where the outcome of a fight depends on good use of fighting and control skills, not luck skills. |

Aye...make evasion work only when you move,replace blocks witg damage reduction and remove resists except for cc spells
