This game will have sound on any distro as long as you have all the required libraries installed (openal).

You generally goto the distro homepage and follow the downloading instructions
For example, some offer a torrent, some direct you to an ever changing mirror list, some direct you to a round robin http/ftp download server. But seeing as you're asking about Fedora, here ya go. http://fedoraproject.org/en/get-fedora |

Try
Code:
yum install openal I am not too experienced with yum, so I am not 100% sure. There should also be a GUI application which lets you search and install software from their repo.

I'm still very new at Linux.
So I have no clue what you are talking about.

You will have sound in fedora i currently dual boot fedora 10 and vista,
sound will be out of sync unless you do this. http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum...ad.php?t=24802 or in your home directory create a file called openalrc and add the following to it (define devices '(oss)) (define alsa-out-device "default") make sure you save with a "." in fromt and this should solve any issues with sound. NOTE: this works for me Cheers

I'm not an Ubuntu-user (well, technically I use a heavy modified Xubuntu-installation) so I'm not sure how all those GUI-methods work, but I found a guide for you (it is perhaps outdated, but could possibly get you on the right track): http://hacktivision.com/index.php/20...thout-addition But then again, since you are really new to GNU/Linux, you can as well change to Fedora before you've "learnt" anything about how to install packages and stuff. It's your choice, I just thought the "ugly"-argument was a bit silly.. Good luck, and don't be afraid to ask things you don't understand! (But if it's about your distro I would recommend you to find some support forum/irc for that distro instead of asking here).
