Dear Regnum
Dear Regnum
I looked all through the forums today, as I do every day, and noted a few things. Most debates have died a lot of the forums have no new posts (the sparkly pretty jewels are black). This is sad, I also noted that there are not many in the forums either. It used to be there was lively (I admit sometimes too lively ) debate and everyone was willing to help no matter what realm they were in. Now it's scoring points off each other and deleted messages. There are things wrong with the game (stating the obvious) but there is also things good about the game. The community was one of them. Now it's the same people posting and multi-threading of the same subject. I have come to the conclusion that the community is dying and that, Dear Regnum, makes me sad. These are my own opinions and thoughts. I hope I am wrong.

Hi Landriel,
English speaking users are active (spending almost the same time as always) but not posting as usual. My guess: Users are tired of discussing about the same subjects on and on. My advice: Use The Inn a little more for in-game happenings. A Community forum is a place to find information about the game, but also to find what is going on with their users. I know that there are other places that are used to talk "freely". Maybe that takes users away of the "Reply" button too. Regards,

One thing i don't like is the information policy of NGD.
They act like a huge company. That makes it hard to feel the sympathy i have for independent (game) developers. Please be a bit more open with information about the development process.

NGD always liked to communicate that way, but acting that way brought a lot of problems that they are hard to see by only looking to "old threads". Communicating is mostly confused with promising, thus creating false expectations among the community and then, obviously, frustration. Gradually we are replying on a regular basis in the most important topics, but you must understand what I stated before. Regards,

If you like to appeal to the independent crowd, those communication problems should not exist. Eli

Also, I'd like to point out that I like when people discuss about this kind of topics this way. Regards,

I too have noticed a decrease in posting.
One reason could be that, like you said Kailer, the same topics are being discussed over and over. One major thing that contributes to this is the lack of communication from NGD. Things like the massive realm imbalance on Horus, the imbalance on RA, the broken skills, the evasion etc. issues and the skills that need changing... We have heard absolutley nada on what is going on... Ok granted, awhile back NGD said that they were beginning to work on skill issues, but we could really do with some follow up information. I know, obviously, you can't say x skill is being changed this way, z skill is being nerfed that way, but I'm sure, at bare minimum we could have a, "We are working on skills in the x,y,z skill tree", you know, something vague, but enough to keep us satisfied. I know everyone will probably be busy doing their million tasks, but I'm sure it wouldn't long many minutes to simply throw together something to keep us afloat. On a similar note too, it'd be great if you could give us a very rough ETA on when the update is coming? 5 days? 5 weeks? 5 months? Just something would be nice. Second I know some people are certainly put off by what may happen to their posts. On IRC I sometimes see "Hmm.. I wonder how long it'll be before my post is deleted / I'm banned / moved to the Inn." Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say anything nasty, it's just things like topics get closed very, very quickly, and not all "off-topic" posts are so bad.. You know, just little things. People are losing faith in the game and in NGD... With increased communication I'm sure that people can be won back. P.s. I hope this counts as being on topic.. I think I waffled abit..

This is just wrong, I read the forums quite regularly and there's just as much useless twitter posting as there's always been, the only "change" from the way people posted during beta and even a year ago is that people tend to reply more now, thus creating longer but fewer threads, whereas before it was mostly shorter but a greater amount of threads.

Maybe the forums are not being used is because people are playing the game so much they keep forgetting to check the forums!
