What are the player races?

I know their are different races in the game.
I'm new and would like to know what they all are and I've got some questions.
Are races faction specific?
Do they affect skills and stuff like that?

I hope I get some replys to answer me, thanks.

The difference between races is only the starting stats.

The exeption are the Utghars from Alsius. They have 5 more starting points, but cannot wear helmet's/hats/etc since they have horns.

Forgot the races

Syrtis: Elves, Half-elves and Alturians (Humans)
Ignis: Dark Elves, Moloks (big barbaric humanoids) and Skelios (Humans)
Alsius: Dwarves, Utghars (Yeti-like creatures) and Nordos (Humans)
