Ignis Beginner
Hello fellow players. I'm new, started playing a couple of days ago and so far I love it! I'm a Dark Elf Mage on the Ignis faction, lvl 9 at the time of this post.
As the remaining quests available in the starter area are being completed, I prepare to move out of the starter area. I've been told that is done via a teleporter NPC, I'd like to know, are there teleporter NPCs all over that can tele us to major cities in your faction? Just curious... Once I'm out of the starter area, where should I quest first? Which city has the lowest lvl mobs? I'm excited about getting into PvP but I realize I'd get creamed unless I'm much higher-leveled. What lvl would be good for a first-timer to start experimenting with PvP? Finally, I've never needed to repair items yet. Is it expensive? (In the sense of will price to repair increase as I go up in levels?) Also, if I accidentally forget to repair an item and it "breaks", does it disappear or does breaking just mean I can't use it until I repair it? Do broken items cost more to repair? |

there isnt any teleporters to take you to cities but, you can buy some premium stuff to tele you to certain cities of your choosing..but since you can buy horses for gold (helpful only later as they are expensive at 10k for low levels and only last 24 hours, but as you level, youll find 10k is nothing
as for quests, i dont know not an ignis but there are sites people have made that detail (sometimes not up to date) quest lists and where to find them. its also very easy to see who has them by their "!" marks so just take a look here n there, and maybe someone in your realm can tell you better than i can where to grind. items get worn and eventually break..costing you even more to fix them to a usable state, but i wouldnt worry too much at lower levels, often you'll find drops or level so fast its not worth it to buy a new set every level. as for when to ven ture to wz, depends on class really, but level 37 is the first level you get a full 19 level skill (meaning you can max out one whole skill tree) personally id say 40-45 but, experience and role is something youll learn regardless of level. just dont go out expecting to kill or be on equal footing with everyone, but everyone here i know has been saved or helped by someone lower levelled..or killed by them so just focus more on skills that just wont benefit you, but others as a team, since as much as we expect pvp..it is mostly rvr and those who have skills that help everyone, not just themselves, usually win not exactly the best person to comment on conj or lock, but both make quite an impact in wz (conjs reviving someone you just killed, healing someone whos killing you XD or a lock who casts terror and your whole army is lying on the ground and the last thing you see are the barbs rushing to area and then youre dead)

What server do you play on? If it is Horus just ask in realm chat
As for repairs, if your item breaks you do not loose it, but you can not use it until you repair. It is best to just repair every time you head into town... as at later lvl's you are grinding more, it's a bit of a problem if you get all the way to you grind spot and have forgotten to repair your almost broken staff. When you visit the magic teleporter who sends you over that huge mountain range just follow the road to the first town altaruk it is there you will find your quests, and the grinding for your lvl is just outside that town There are no teleporters that will send you to other locations apart from one on allahed beach which sends you into the war zone. There is also one of these "artifacts of teleporting" as they are called in the noob area but it's a long run. If you buy Xim you are able to buy teleport scrolls to each of the towns (not to anything in the war zone tho). As for PvP, at any lvl you are able to go get yourself killed in the warzone depending if you become a warlock or a conju I would say about lvl 37 as that is when you are able to get your most powerful spells... as a conju you can go earlier. Also most people go around 30 as there is a quest you need to kill people from other realms / fractions to complete. If you just want to experience some battle to find out what it's like against other people, you could ask in realm chat for someone around your lvl to have a play in the arena with you. There you are able to fight people from your own realm, you loose nothing for being killed, and gain nothing for winning... apart from learning how to fight and your skills. I'm going to disagree with the above and say go into the warzone as soon as you want to check it out, but keep your expectations low and don't expect to be useful until level 25.
Also, remember to always warzone in a group.

I completely agree. The WZ is the main part of Regnum Online and it would be a shame to miss it. Btw, I went to war at a regular base since level 18

So I agree and disagree :P. If you didn't ever play this game - go to warzone as soon as possible - it should be something around lvl 20. Go there, than die 10 times or so to know what you need to do to make yourself stronger - levelling. After that you should go back inner realm and work hard as all wz players did to be useful in war and to have fun with it. The problem is to realize that you have to grind/do quests to get the higher levels. This will be the quite long time when you reach every lvl with hard work grinding (esp after level30) and get used to it.
At lvl37-40, go back to wz and have some pleasure time with killing. This is the time when you learn the real tactics used in wz and you learn teamplay. At this time you should start to understand how the war mechanics work, know the spells of other classes and what you can expect from the enemy. When you play a bit at these lvls in the wz, you'll see how much more you need to accomplish the full war ability. And you'll understand that you have to grind more and more to get those phucking lvls and even maybe you'll like it . PS. @Krivvy: I really like the way you ask questions. I wish all players who don't understand something in this game ask questions like you in this post. Logical, comprehensive and without a false noob pride (in the style "I'll pwn u all"). You're a good material for a good player in the future and I'd like to see you in war as my ally when you get high level. I'm glad you've chosen Ignis . Best wishes m8 .

Head over to Altaruk, that is the nearest city to you with mobs ur level and quests. Also head over to the city near the arena as that has some nice low lvl mobs.

Would the city near the arena be Allahed? I'm just assuming, because there's a city icon on the map without a name so I thought that might be the arena. I'm pretty excited about trying that one out.
A couple PvP questions please, I'll make this short: - If I die in PvP, do my items take damage? (as in, do their durability decrease?) This happens in other MMOs I've played (thinking of Shadowbane right now) so I'm just curious. I noticed it doesn't happen from dying in PvE (and I've had many chances for that!) but what about PvP? - Do you get xp from defeating enemy players in the WZ? (I hope so). Also, do defeated players in WZ drop anything? Or is it a no-loot system and you only gain something from capturing a fort (I'm okay with that, just curious). |

Durability decrease isn't due to death, but happens when you use your items (i.e. when you hit something, or get hit by something, no matter what). You can always repair your items by going to a shop.
No, you don't get XP from killing other realm players. But you do get RP, which are virtually worthless/pointless. And no, defeated players doesn't drop and you will never loose your own items - unless you sell, trade or throw them away, or if NGD decides an item is to be removed. The only way to get XP and items are from quests and grinding. Well, (some) items can be bought or traded with other players too, or acquired from a lucky box.
