Default Short Bow Skill (repetition shot) revisited

Im suggesting that the shortbow skill repetition shot be adjusted....
The spell as it is has 3 seconds casting time (that is fine)
The spell as it is takes 500 mana (adjust to 300 mana)
The spell as it is has a cooldown of 180 seconds (adjust to 90 seconds)

If you adjust this skill to 90 seconds it will benefit all hunters and still not be overpowered. It will allow us to rep with every camouflage.

The max range of repetition is 5 steps from the user in a 170 degree arc, lowering the cooldown to 90 seconds will not overpower this skill. It will allow us to rep with every camouflage.

The enemy can easily avoid repetition shot if used without camouflage... It's also easily avoided when the player uses camouflage first. Lowering the cooldown to 90 seconds will not overpower this skill.

Lowering the cooldown to 90 seconds will make it still less reliable and less lethal than a barbarians area attack. Also repetition has less range and only damages in half the area space as a barbarians area attack. Lowering the cooldown to 90 seconds will not overpower this skill. It will allow us to rep with every camouflage.


The simple use of repetition puts us the caster in harms way in the face of danager for long enough time. Lowering the cooldown time to 90 seconds will not overpower this skill.

Repetition Shot does the highest amount of damage of all areas in the game.
Therefore the cooldown and mana cost is justified. If the damage would be adjusted to maybe 600 maximum, it might be possible to lower the cooldown.
As the spell is now it is fine, with halved cooldown it would be too much.

Highest damage?? Uh....no

*1100-1300 (only higher if you get SILLY buff'd).
*Range is only 6
*Area is only DIRECTLY in front of the archer - unlike other areas that behave like an actual area.

The biggest problem that i have with the suggestion is not the cooldown or mana cost, but that because it is part of a shared tree marksmen will get the improvement too.

That would be totally imbalanced. It maybe fits into your definition of a hunter (solo), but a hunter in fortwars would be imbalanced then. Every 90 sec 1500+ of 5 or more hunters?

But repshot should be adjusted, yeah. Every area spell is too strong, (And their cooldowns are far to high) set repshot to 200% (or even less) attack damage and 90 sec (60-120sec) cooldown, maybe adjust mana/casting time... (400-450 mana, 1.5-2.5 sec casting time)

And especially expansive wave should get adjusted. 45 sec cooldown? 1.5 sec casting time?? Area 10!? 1500++ damage???

No, I've seen 2k+ expansive wave, but my highest repshot was only 1700.

Indeed... but the marksman cannot use the skill effectivly in war why?
1) range is 5 steps and marksman has no camo to sneak around
2) 3 seconds cast time allows most to side step the attack and get 0 damage

The mana cost is not too much of a problem even if the mana stays the same as it is now... However, a change to 300 would make it easier to cast after using camouflage + buffs. I am fine keeping it at 500 mana.

The casting time though can be reduced without overpowering hunters.

right now its too easy for hunters to surprise ppl. i think that it would be very unbalanced for hunters to surprise people doing, +1k of DMG, spending only 300 of mana, with a really short cooldown.

if you can shot from a 40mts range, and actually move faster than a class that can only attack you from 1.5 mts... how in the world are those guys going to be able even reach you? -chilko-

I say no to that. Enyone using area spell for single target or small group, should pay for it. Cooldown and mana are fine.
