Computer keeps Rebooting

Hey all. I just downloaded and installed Regnum on my PC. Twice now, when I try to enter a world, my computer automatically reboots. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game and still have the same issue. I select the world to enter and once the verify bar at the bottom goes all the way across..........the PC reboots.

Any help is appreciated.

Not sure if this will help but here it goes..........

When I uninstall and reinstall the game I get an error stating "There was an error patching the game" during the loading process.

When I log in there is about a 1200 kb load that works fine. Then, when I select the world to enter, there is a 9555 kb load. I receive the error after about 2725 kb or so.

Ok. I figured that maybe something got corrupted when I downloaded the installable file so I re-downloaded it again.

I still get the patch error at 2725 kb when trying to enter the Horus world.

Doesn't look as though this is going to work.

Can you play other games without any problem?

PS. To ask a question on a forum and expect an answer 1 hour later is really optimistic...

Yes, I can play other games.

I was able to play Drift City (online multiplayer racing game with levels, upgrades, etc)
I was also able to download, install and play Shaiya.

Not sure what is happening with the Ragnum File.

Ok, tried installing again. This time no patch error message. I noticed when I was loading that my cable modem was flashing. Maybe the problem before is that I had one of my work PCs downloading data causing a bandwith issue. I don't know.

Like I said though, everything loaded fine this time but when it was done loading after the world selection, my PC rebooted. Not sure what's up.

I'll keep checking back with the forums to see if there's a fix. I emailed support to so hopefully I will hear something.

1. Turn off reboot on system failure. It is bugged.
2. Install monitoring software to check your system and graphic card temperature, the best would be with some logging.
3. Learn how to use EDIT button.

In Vista it should be similar, but I am not sure, since I never touched this crap (but you pay alot for so called support, so you can bug Micro$oft).

I did turn off the reboot on system failure so that i got the BSOD when the PC tried to reboot. No info on the BSOD. Also, I am using XP not Vista.

Not sure what you are referring to when you say "Learn how to use the EDIT button"

i think what you will find he was referring to when he said about the Edit, you can edit your posts rather than posting new ones over and over
