thats the problem.

im NOT in the invasion. but when they happen, everyone in realm suffers. I was on elther beach..(where im currently, suffering server spikes, and spell lag)

but hey least we get new strafing next update..thatll help solve our issues..

On Horus with about 40 people a side at gates I can hardly move and have a slideshow in place of a framerate, Ive seen Pics of Defence groups on Ra, they are at least 3* larger... The load would melt my Pc.

Maybe a bit offtopic but blade clusters, generaly serve well, for applications that can be actualy ran on clusters (eg. the ones that can get advantage of several machines at once using eg. MPI), they are also used in large round robin setups for example large WWW hosting when httpd gateways (1 or more set on more powerful standard size servers) passes the requests to rndom machine in eg. cache or db servers farm - since blade systems are designed for highly packed and power saving structure (that's why blade servers has lower clock speed, ultra low voltage CPUs, 2,5 inch 7200 SATA disks etc).

For (as I assume) monolithic application, it would be better to buy 2 strong big machines and configure them in High Availibility active-passive setup.

And about needing a reboot - if machine needs to be fixed by reboot, it is usualy something wrong with its setup, so the admin has to be poked by a hot poker. ;-)
