Game runs to slow, need to help

I have a Phenom II X4 CPU and ATI Radeon HD 3300 on board graphics. I have the CPU running at 3 Ghz. I use Road Runner Internet. OS is Ubuntu 64 bit. When I play the game on high some parts run slow like in the towns and cities, or when theres a lot of people around. I tried it on med, but it does the same. What do i do?

What xorg-server are you running ? 1.4 1.5 1.6 ? Have you try with low graphic just for testing if it happend too ?

I thought all towns lagged? Is this not the case then?

In town yes... with a lot of people on a war it depend on what you call a lot

The xorg-server and video card driver you use can help a little.

idk ever since the update i have had unplayable lag.

im lagging in the middle of nowhere and when im in war i just lag until im dead.

i play with a slightly higher version of safe mode which was playable until this update.. :/

Maybe NGD could Clarify?

It's just that the engine of this game is completely unoptimized and poorly written that even people with better systems then yours experience massive fps drops.

my suggestion, wait Q4 of 2009 for new engine because seeing that you have a good system you shouldn't be making compromises like forcing safe mode just to run the game.

Personaly i have all to low, except vision range and the effect box checked. I run on a 2.4ghz core2duo+nvidia 8600gt. It's most of the time playable except on really really big wars.
