Results of Onslaught testing
Today I was running around, trying to herd up a group of my allies and I noticed something slightly annoying about the new onslaught duration. So, after cool down, I went back and tested it.
I started at one side of PN and hit Onslaught(5), started running at the same time. I was not even at the other side of the bridge before it ran out. Now this is certainly inside visual range. I know from experience that using onslaught(5) + spring(2) (Which conveniently matches the speed cap) you can not catch up with a lone mage over this distance if they decide to run from you. Conclusion? Onslaught is, indeed, useless for covering distance to an enemy now. Reduce duration to 10s? They may as well have deleted the speed boost entirely. If anyone else has done any such testing, please provide your results here too. I don't imagine it'll make a gnat's difference in a sandstorm, but it'd be interesting to see what sort of usefulness there is left in this mana eater.

Oh yes, the speed boost should not even be there now Imo, it only confuses the user into wasting mana.
Why today with a level 45 knight we were ambushed by a lvl 30ish Hunter, lvl 50 Hunter, and a lvl 50 Marks. By the time we actually started to hit the low lvl our buffs were almost gone. Ambushed non stop, and torn to pieces by gigantic pets. After dying once we killed the low level, and started to go after the others. Of course two archers versus two warriors is actually the equivalent to a 6 on 2. Sure I have two knockdowns on lvl 4, disable limb lvl 4. So what? Whenever they got low on HP they either went SotW or Low Profile + Rest. A warrior's stun should be much much longer imo. My Deafening Roar and Dizzy was useless, as a Hunter with Pet and Marksmen hit the same thing I hit too, except from range and knocking me down with strafing. It's clearly wrong. I don't know how NGD has fucked up warriors. But to add with positional lag this is too much. I had to chase the hunter later halfway across the map, Onslaught lvl 4 and Spring lvl 4 again, obviously not enough. Even if I got in range he did the classic Low Profile / SotW. When I got tired of chasing him, I would stop, then so would he, and he would start resting. The nerve is just too funny, this is NOT how the game is meant to be played. And I thank NGD entirely for how they continue to fuck the mechanics up the ass. Bravo, just bravo. Warrior speed is useless, I can't even catch a mage, fucking Prickling Ivy my ass and run away on your horse like a twat. On top of the leveling, I think there should be no warrior class. It's obvious this game is only about ranged classes and their immortal spells. SotW, Low Profile, Mobility, Escapist, Wild Spirit. Warriors don't even have spells touching concepts like these, There is no balance. |

Not only that.
The +speed% skills are counted from the old base speed (-20%) =] Wonderful isn't it?

They decreased it's duration because it was a taxi!
Of course! It's not like they could have gotten rid of the taxi by, hmm I don't know... making it affect only the caster? Nah. Besiiides, its not like Barbarians were balanced with the original Onslaught speed. |

Hang on, but does that mean unless you're skilled up to a speed boost greater than 20%, your speed doesn't change and a 25% speed boost only actually gives you 5% more speed? Please say it isn't so or I think I just found some more points that I've been wasting.

This is true for all +speed% skills.

I don't think so ... Hunters passive should get them a 0% speed with that.

No that doesn't sound right, otherwise hunters wouldn't be so freaking annoying.
The best I can come up with is that what you mean is that the increase is based on 83⅓% of the current basic speed, and that is always added on to basic speed. So 35% becomes 29.167% , 25% becomes 20.833% , 20% 16.67%, and so forth. (ie. the speed increases were precalculated values that are just added onto the basic +20%)

I think he made a post about it somewhere too, I'll check it up. Your theory might be correct though.
