Boss mob drops

I've been quite ignorant of this until just recently when it suddenly hit me, and there are probably topics about it but I've never seen them so......

I've noticed that a lot of weapons are left out of boss mob drops, specifically one handed melee weapons and short bows. There are plenty of two handed weapon ones out there (e.g. satarco sword, evendim axe, daen rha and thorkul swords) and at least a long bow from evendim(not sure about the other boss mobs) armor drops from dragons and such. I can't say I've ever seen a staff, correct me if I'm wrong but for now I will assume that doesn't exist either.

It is at least a bit out of selfishness as my mains are hunter and knight, therefore I use mostly short bows and one handed melee weapons, but shouldn't there be a bit more variety in boss mob drops? I know I sure wouldn't mind a really nice SB or one handed hammer

Throw me some feedback here, especially correct me if I am wrong about any of this.

Thorkul drops a nice Shortbow; ask Dom or Comp for a pic.

There are two (as far as I know) types of boss drop staves, a medium "Viper" and a slow "Apocolypse" dropped by Evendim and Daen Rha.

Daen Rha also drops a really good long bow. As well as Evendim drops a medium one handed spear.

Thorkul's Crush is a pretty damn fine hammer for a knight.

AFAIK, thorkul drops only one barb weapon, and it is complete crap.

There have been pics in many threads depicting stats on boss drops, id love to see them all compiled here.

What about shields? Everyone forgets that shields are the most importante piece of metal for a knight.
Why isn't there any Shield boss drops?
Why can't we paint them?
Why does nobody care?
