What do you guys think about the press saying "Aika is.."

Aika is the FIRST f2p RvR fantasy mmorpg. Evne though regnum does exist and is f2p. So what do all of you think about the media saying this? Now i've not played Aika since well it's in cbt and also it's a gpotato game which means it's probably not going to be that good in the end and be very very cash shop heavy game.

I just wanted to know how the community felt about the press saying all of this.

If they changed it to first mass marketed in the north american market then it would be closer to home, as it stands I have already seen Kailer post about it back in May I believe on some site asking them to seriously reconsider branding it the first due to overwhelming evidence supporting otherwise.

As far as I'm concerned it looks just like another rebranded asian grinder with an RvR twist and this whole excerpt:

It looks like a piss-poor repackaged asian grind-fest MMO.

The only thing I liked about it is their webpage was advertising EVE.

Marketing tricks with the common "Game of the Year, #1 Game of 200X, First ever!, 10 years of...!"

That's about where the similarities seem to end though. Aika is an MMO of South Korean descent and definitely has the look and sound effects. The MMO will also be free to play (just how free, we don't know yet), boast sophisticated voice-overs, and come packaged in a tiny 300MB download. And then there's the interesting (some might say creepy) "Pran system." Prans are kind of like pets from traditional MMOs, except that they are young girls. According to one review, you can interact with your Pran, dress it up, give it dolls, help it grow, and boost its intimacy/relationship rank.

The reviews and comments on this game are just hilarious though.
Amazing how games are getting more and more crappier the more companies you have with the aim of stealing customers from other games.

Oh man,
Every convention Ive been to in the past 6 months or so has had an Aika booth
Its brutal, I have little business cards and even a free poster,
they kept saying it would be the biggest MMO of the century.

I laughed as I thought of WoW and went home to play Regnum.
