Just Wondering
Im grounded just thought I would tell everyone that in case they were wondering why there average rp per day has went down a bit
But anyway the reason I made this topic is because as a lock (at least at lvl 38 this happens) if I face an archer with sotw its over for me in around 15sec because of all the resists. So I was wondering if any lock/mage has found an effective way to stay alive until it runs out or been able to fight them through it? |

Darkness them before they cast it. Otherwise you better hope you live through it, and as soon as it wears off soul keeper + vamp.

I'm not a pro with warlocks, but here's what I'd say:
To prevent it: -Use mana burn/sadistic servants right from the start -Like vanda said, use darkness -Any dizzies/knocks If you can't prevent it: -Hide behind trees/rocks -If it's a hunter, use the time to kill/hp-drain the pet -MoD spam if you have to (if you have it)

Mana burn is a major annoyance when you land it, and sadistic servants as well. Your best shot at living through it is to steal the health you lose off the pet if it is possible, when the hunter loses his pet many of them rarely stay to finish up the fight. If it is a hunter with no pet or a marksman I'd say wind wall and just rebuff energy barrier mid-fight. That will buy you a little time, and if you are lucky it will be enough for SOTW to wear off and you can HP drain whatever you lost.
P.S. - My lock is only lvl 36 :P so what I just said was based on the theory of what should potentially work mixed with what I have experienced working well against my own hunter from the many times I have been butchered by warlocks. |

Find an environmental obstacle (rock, tree) and use the strafe keys to keep it between you and the archer.
