Default Printscreen

I have a nice new keystroke response since upgrading to 9.10.

If I press print screen - the game crashes instantly.

Not sure if this is an improvement on Ubuntu 9.04 as that just gave a completely unviewable screen dump when using printscreen

odd that this troubles you.....

I have no problems using Gnome/KDE's screenshot app for RO. In fact I always use this method so I dont have to dig the screenie out of the ./live folder later.

That being said are you using compiz? I have noticed RO runs great while using compiz except that when focus is lost it instant crashes *shrug*

It is probably your window manager that steps in and overrides. For me pressing printscreen is the same as pressing alt-s.

ah yes... because I play window mode

that reminds me.. I HAVE seen this problem is ./live/screenshots permissions are not correct. Maybe not the case here but something to check out.

Playing with it, printscreen works in windowed but not in full screen.

Works fine here, though Kubuntu 9.04 (9.10 quite sucked, esp for RO)

This is the weird thing, Ubuntu 9.10 has been sooooooo much better for my laptop (Acer 6920G) than 9.04. Everyone else seems to have issues.

It recognises so much more of my hardware, they only thing I have to do is set up the most recent NVIDIA drivers and its good to go (I can post the best way to do this if anyone is interested).
