connecting...checking firewall...
Hi. I just downloaded this game and
I did add the exceptions to my firewall, and I even shut my firewall off and tried again. I have tried connecting to both Horus and Ra, and every time I get the same little box connecting...checking firewall... Does anybody have any suggestions besides those things I have already read? Danke. Elle. |

It's still not working.
I uninstalled Regnum and reinstalled it to a different directory and I am running as admin and still cannot get it to connect. It still says connecting... checking firewall.... and won't load.
Can somebody please help? |

Really disappointed.
It would have been nice to get some help on this.
I guess I can't play this after all, since nobody will help. Not even the tech support people will answer an email! |

Out of desperation have you tried reinstalling your firewall?
You could try to remove said firewall and run the game to see if you are able to connect, if you can then its entirely up to you and your firewall. Reinstalling may... may help. |

Daeos! Thanks for answering me! xoxoxo
But ummm.... it is Windows Firewall. I don't think I can uninstall it. I can disable it, and I did try that, but it didn't work. |

You don't have anything such as Norton, McAfee, Kaperski, AVG (security center), or anything else? Are you using a router? Do you connect to the internet through a proxy server?

Those would help if you are using a router. |

Hi Daeos, I have AVAST anti virus going. um. No Norton, no McAfee, no Kasperski.... I am not using a router, and I am not connecting with a proxy.
Do you think the anti virus would stop it from running? Wyatt: I did already set those ports up in my firewall, but thanks! That link is definitely worth reposting! I was trying to figure this out myself before I posted the question, so as not to be a pest. :-) Thanks guys! Your replies are encouraging at least! (Maybe there is hope?) |

Is Regnum Online on the list of allowed programs on the firewall?
