Default The problem with Syrtis

I hear many people saying that syrtis is overpopulated and indeed it is but (a big but) the problem is that Syrtis is constantly overpopulated with new people. In all the time that i play here I have seen constantly new people coming and going and only a few remain. So lots of people come daily to Syrtis and lots of people stopt playing at syrtis daily, thats the "overpopulation" people talk about.
While (specially) Ignis manage to keep lots of their high level players, Syrtis has to do it with a handfull of them. Since I play I still see the same experienced players of Ignis while almost all the experienced players of Syrtis have dissapeared, often to go to other realms.
Why? because of their frustration. Imagine 2 or 3 experienced players going to (re)capture a fort with 8 or 9 players around lvl 30 (!), As you can imagine it is not possible to continuosly explain tactics over and over again, day after day, month after month, to new people so after a while I noticed that experienced players stop talking at all.
Really Syrtis is a chaos, like a giant without head, just because of that enormous coming and going of new people...
So lots of people but mostly inexperienced.

The real problem with Syrtis:

Translation: The problem with Syrtis is it's filled with people thinking they know everything when in fact they know nothing.

(Sorry, I just had to )

That's right Znurre and that is because of what I said: Syrtis is filled constantly with new people (who leave again after a short while).

Are you on about Horus? If so most of the core players have been around a while, to name a few;

Me, Bulgaro, Xia, Meleage, Namus, Tsukuyomi (and the rest of INQ basically) Gawyn, Gwyn, Isemon, Rios, Dark Wind, Punti, Jesus, I could go on and on and on, syrtis has a lot of veteran players, the other realms are just underpopulated now.

I dont consider syrtis overpopulated because compared to Ra syrtis we are still small, its not a problem that syrtis has many players, the issue is that other realms dont have enough.

Couldn't agree more....

You have noobs running around shouting "samal, samal" all the time; most die before getting anywhere near it.

I am amazed by the ones that spend all day going back and forth between Algaros and Trelle when all the Alsius gems have been captured by Ignis - they spend hours camping the Trelle save.

The level of organisation and communication in Syrtis is appalling.

A lot of the lvl50 Syrtis have given up on war and just go hunting all day. They only attack forts when the gates are in danger. I find attacking forts a pain in the neck - when I'm not getting spammed by clan invites when I'm trying to heal, I'm getting spammed by chats from dead lvl30 noobs wanting resurrect when they should be back in fisgael learning which end of the sword they should be holding.

just because a realm has no gems doesnt mean you shouldn't fight them.. Invasions arn't the only part of this game and never should be

Yes very nice and very wrong, thats not the problem at all! What you are saying is that syrtis have many ppl cose high lvl players are leaving and newbies reamain? Wake up dude! Im wondering if you are talking about horus or ra, neither of those is the case tho, you might be talking about german servers, tyr or perhaps amun?
People were leaving the game since beta, leaving all realms the % is the same, so you are 101% wrong.
Regards ?
