Warjurers?
Hey,
I'd like to know what it actually means to be a warjurer. Is it just a conjurer wich uses summon and some damage-spells aswell? I don't get what's wrong with that... And why does everybody hates them?

A 'warju' is a offencisve setup Conju yes, the main reason players dislike them is they are taking a support class and turning it on its head to become offensive, other conjus see this and copy them, thus taking the only healer class we have and making it another offence, which we already have 5 of anyway.
I know a few 'liberated' warjus who used to defend Warjus to the hill but after changing to support get just as annoyed by warjus as most others.

From conjurer side warjurers are hated, because they do not return DI, do not heal, do not transfer mana, they simply use this class in a "wrong" way. I can not say really hate, more like dislike.
Usually warjurers even do not support self which they can do, because they are conjurers after all. Usually they are suicidal, forcing me to heal and protect them, while other do not get needed attention. If warjurer support self alone it is not so big problem for others. Everyone have a right to choose after all. Still offensive mage is warlock. Make a warlock for this job. Do not use conjurer in such way.

Not everyone hates them. Personally I don't. It's their choice to play the way they want. However, they are among the bottom of my list for support with my Conjurer simply because I feel they should have the skills to protect themselves, and they are not as effective as lets say a Conjurer skilled in support or a Marksman or a Barbarian in RvR.

A fully offensive conj is really effective 1v1. This means that their effectiveness is confined to single targets.
On the other hand, the fully defensive conj can be a huge benefit to the whole army - they can often swing the balance of the battle. So i think many people consider it a waste to take such an effective group support class and turn it into a char that focuses only on single target dmg. My personal feelings are that the choice is completely up to the player to choose. I also think it is a waste to turn this class to offense, but i respect the right to choose this style. |

I see... A full support conjurer can mean the most to an army.
But a conjurer has powers a warlock hasn't, that may, if combined right, prove very usefull in pvp, right? Maybe a warjurer doen't have to be a waste, and has benefits a warlock hasn't. (Tell me if I'm wrong)

A warju-esqe build is also effective for (solo) grinding. So if you're grinding near Agg and want to heed the "All to Agg!" calls that occur ever so frequently, you can either stash the zarkit and go to Agg, or dash to Birka, /reset_powers, reskill, notice you forgot to skill DI or MC or something, re-/reset_powers, reskill, dash back to Agg and just before you reach the door...
"Alsius has captured Aggersborg Fort" If I plan to spend a lot of time warring, I'll skill pretty pure support (maybe a few points in Mental, sometimes you just feel like knocking somebody down) My grind build has high heals and synergy bond, I mainly lose mana pylon and some points in sanc, so I probably look less like a warju than just an incompetent support conj. |
