Can you give us the complete error as a quote from your terminal?

I have the same problem than mrlocus. But what I think is that the game didn't downloaded all the files he need : the folder's weight is only 30 mb !!!!
However, the game think that all was downloaded. I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, but unsuccessly... The terminal don't say anything when the game shut down. (sry for my bad english too ^^') |

(erf, we can't edit ?)
I tried something : I replaced all my files (except rolauncher for linux, and some else) by the files I got when I installed Regnum Online with wine. and now I have this error in my terminal : Quote:
Ps : on Wine, I don't have any mouse, so I can't play with it |

30 mb is was too small, mine is at 500 mb!
just delete the whole regnum folder -> rm -rf regnum then go the the website and download the installer again. (the native one for linux) and then do a clean new install |

replace every thing except the rolauncher and start that one again he will dl all what is necessary. Start it and look at the booting screen or at the error log if it don't start.

I had exactly the same problem - the game went to launch screen, i could set the resolution and all, then updates were downloaded and as soon as i hit the "play" button it just quits, without any error message. Well - or so i thought. I searched the regnum-folders and in the "live" folder i found an error log called error_log.txt, here is the output from the file :
Code:
[GameClient][game_client.cpp(616)] Can't find a suitable visual [RenderizerGL][renderizer_gl_x11.cpp(265)] BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) [RenderizerGL][renderizer_gl_x11.cpp(265)] BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) [RenderizerGL][renderizer_gl_x11.cpp(265)] BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) [Game][game_client.cpp(518)] Engine3D::Renderizer::get_active_renderizer()->finish_graphics_system() Dell inspiron 640m 2GB Ram Intel dual-core (1,8 GHz) Intel 945GM (Express Family) I feel there is something wrong with the Open-GL setting (probably my intel 945GM is causing probs here) , too bad I cant choose an Alternative in the combobox :-( .... Any idea how to fix the problem ? |

Oh I almost forgot : Just as th eguy who opened the thread I am using the latest Xubuntu (its an ubuntu derivate)-release "Feisty Fawn" (7.04). Maybe there are some libraries ect missing ? Its a pretty fresh install and I haven't done/messed around much on the system so far.
