Does it matter where the blame lies?

Today Jakob decided to make his presence known on alsius chat and announced that it was Alsius's fault that Syrtis can no longer trade mag. Now can a dev please explain why syrtis cant trade mag(because Alsius can) and remove some of the blame from us. To blame one realm is just unfair
