Hey, I'm new using linux and such, used to have a macintosh computer before it broke down now i use a Dell Latitude.

I was wondering if anyone can give me a step by step guide to updating my computer's intel processor; When i run Lspci on terminal on ubuntu linux 8.10 i get..

And then when i trUnsupported video card!

Unsupported video card!

There are three possible causes for this error:
1. Your video card is too old
2. You haven't installed the latest available drivers
3. You haven't installed the latest DirectX version

Anyone help me please.

um, right now i'm on a hunt to figure out which post is the one for my video card, most of them on the search aren't intel 830. mostly Radeon/ATI >>
