Quick question reguarding dual wield
The details of dual wield are a bit fuzzy to me at the moment. was just wondering wether dual wield is exlcusively for barbarians or would knights be able to dual wield too? since barbs can wield a shield if they chose to, i dont see why knights cant drop thier bonus defence for a little extra damage. from what i hear most knights are unhappy with the shield tree anyway. this would however be the dawn of the knarbs ruling the warzone running around under Ao1 doing barb damages

As far as I know, the only thing the community really knows about Duel Wielding is that... It's called Duel Wielding. ^^
I don't know if NGD even know the details yet.

The details of dual wielding are not completely clear yet, because NGD will only start to work on it after the fall out from last update has disappeared.

as far as i know, knights wont be able to dual wield because it wouldnt make sense. barbs CANT use shields that are over lvl 12 or something. so thats not really a fair comparison.
i did hear a rumor that NGD has already developed a system for dual wielding but it just needs to be implemented. i dont know, i guess we will just have to wait and see. |

I would take ALL pictures from NGD with a pinch of salt.
If you look at the gallery on the main site, there are "knights" wearing barb gear, a (what seems to be) lvl 50 barb using an initiation sword and a lvl 30 shield.

I would suspect Dual Weilding to be Barb-only, since the 2H mastery trees description reads:

The shield could be made an offensive weapon (like it is in Lord of the Rings Online for Guardians), and used to bash in the heads of enemies.
On the otherhand, that might drastically change the balance of the knight class, so the point is probably moot.

I'm not a knight expert, but isn't that the point of shield bash?
